Welcome back to Term 3! We hope you all enjoyed the school holidays and are ready to get back into the routine of school life!

2023 Religious Education Assessment (REA):

In Catholic schools across Western Australia, students enrolled in Years 3, 5 and 9 participate in a system-wide, online assessment of Religious Education.

The practice test at Christ the King is scheduled for:

Year 3 & 5: Week 2 – Thursday 27 July

The RE assessment at Christ the King is scheduled for:

Year 3 & 5: Week 3 – Wednesday 2 August

Please ensure your child has their working headphones at school for the above dates.

Practicum Students:

We are very lucky to have two final internship student teachers working with us for Term 3. Miss Olivia Letizia is working in Year 3 Gold, under the guidance of Mrs Gumina. Miss Letizia is completing her studies at Curtin University. Miss Charlie Love is working in Year 4 Gold, under the guidance of Miss Marshall and is studying at the University of Notre Dame. We warmly welcome these student teachers to our wonderful school community!

Absenteeism:

A gentle reminder that with the cold and flu season upon us, we greatly appreciate parents keeping their children home when they are unwell. It would be appreciated if parents could email or phone the school office before 9am, in order to notify staff of their child’s absence from school. Please do not wait for a message from the school. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding in this matter.

Student Uniform Vigilance:

As the new term commences, it is timely to remind all students to continue to wear the correct uniform, on the correct day and to wear it with pride. Please ensure items are labelled correctly so that they can be easily returned in case they are misplaced.

It has been a wonderful start to Term 3 and I wish everyone a relaxing weekend.
