Welcome back to Term Two!

Thank you to our parents and families for setting up your children for success by arriving at school on time. A gentle reminder that supervision is in the quadrangle from 8.10 am, for students in Year 1 – 6. Students should not be arriving at school before this time. We consider the safety, health and well-being of all our children to be of paramount importance and, therefore, ask that parents respect the procedures that are in place. Classroom doors open at 8.30am allowing students to unpack and become settled for the school day.

Term Two Planning

Academic communication for this term will consist of posting Term Overviews on Seesaw and a formal mid-year report. We have many exciting learning activities and events planned including incursions, excursions, assemblies and carnivals, as well as our Year 3, Year 4 and Year 6 students, receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation, the Sacrament of Confirmation and the Sacrament of First Communion (Eucharist).

ANZAC Day Public Holiday & Pupil Free Day

Next Thursday 25 April, is a Public Holiday for ANZAC day. Friday 26 April is a Pupil Free Day for our students at Christ the King School. Our Staff will be participating in an all day Staff Professional Development Day.

Term Dates

Please make sure you have made note of the dates and events occurring this term and keep up to date with events on our school calendar. There is a Public Holiday on Monday 3 June (Week 8). We conclude Term 2 on Friday 28 June 2023 (Week 11).

Sacrament of Reconciliation

Please keep our Year 3 students in your prayers, as they prepare for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. All Year 3 students participated in the Sacrament of Reconciliation Retreat Day on Tuesday, led by 24.7 Ministry. It was great to see our Year 3 parents and children attend the Parent & Child Workshop on Tuesday evening led by Mario Borg, from 24.7 Ministry. This retreat day and evening workshop focused on how God wants us to draw closer to Him through offering His love and forgiveness. The day was packed full of meaningful and engaging activities that specifically cater for young people. Thank you to our dedicated Year 3 teachers for supporting this, for the students in their care.

School Photos

Our school photos are scheduled for Monday 20 May and Friday 24 May (Week Six). More information will be communicated in the coming weeks.

P&F News

Welcome Back Everyone!

I hope you all had a wonderful break and are ready for an exciting term ahead.

The ECE Colouring in Comp, Easter Egg Guessing Game and Easter Raffle winners were all announced on the last day of school. For the first time ever, the Easter Raffle was drawn using an electronic wheel on the big screen in the hall, and the children (and teachers!) were very excited to see their names spinning around. Congratulations to all the winners of the raffle and thank you for all of your generous donations and support.

A huge Congratulations to William Edwards (3yr old), Lilliana Green (Kindy) and Elle Micalef (Pre-Primary) for winning the Easter Colouring in Comp. There were so many beautifully coloured entries, so well done to all the children as they were all so amazing. The Easter Egg Guessing game winner was Charlotte Millett (Year 4) who guessed 190 easter eggs, which was the closest to the actual amount of 187. Well done

Charlotte, we hope you didn’t eat them all in one go!

We are looking for lots of leads and volunteers for events in Term 2, which are now up on the P&F social hub for you to sign up to. The Mothers Day Tea-rrific High Tea is coming up very soon so if you are wanting to attend please get your RSVP in as soon as possible. We appreciate all of your ongoing support and look forward to meeting more of our wonderful CTK community this term.

Our Term 2 meetings will be held on Wednesday 8th May & 12 June at 7:30pm in the school library. We would love you to come and share your wonderful ideas and help us plan a fun filled term ahead. Everyone from the school community is welcome!
