As we enter the final week of Term 2, we thank You for guiding us through the past 11 weeks. Thank You for the opportunities to learn, grow and support one another.
Please give us strength and motivation to finish the term well. Help us stay focused on our studies, be kind to those around us, and do our best in all that we do. Give wisdom to our teachers as they continue to guide and encourage us.
As the holidays approach, help us to reflect on what we have achieved and be grateful for the blessings You have given us. Keep our families and school community safe, healthy, and joyful.
May we continue to grow in knowledge, character, and faith each day.

Welcome to Week 10
It is hard to believe that we have already reached Week 10 of our 11 week term. The term has certainly flown by, and there is still plenty happening around the school before we finish for the holidays, next week.
This is an important time for students to remain focused on their learning, complete any outstanding tasks and continue to demonstrate our school values. We encourage families to support their children in maintaining good routines and attendance right through to the end of term, so they can make the most of the learning opportunities still ahead.
The Power of Teamwork at CtK
As I look back at the busy term we have all had, I have come to realise that teamwork really matters. It teaches us how to collaborate, communicate and care for one another. It helps us understand that everyone has a role to play and that success is something we build together.
When we work as a team, we learn resilience, empathy and confidence qualities that help us not only at school but throughout our lives. Teamwork is the quiet magic that turns individual effort into collective success, and we see it everywhere at CtK: in our classrooms, on sporting fields, at recess and lunch, during music experiences and across our wider community.
What makes CtK such a special place is the people who work together every day to support our students and families. Whether teaching, leading, assisting, coaching, organising or caring for others behind the scenes, every member of our team contributes to the life and spirit of our school.
As we reflect on all that has been achieved, we extend our sincere thanks to the entire CtK team for their dedication, commitment and hard work. Your willingness to support one another, embrace challenges, and work collaboratively creates opportunities for our students to thrive. Together, you make a positive difference every day, and our school community is stronger because of your efforts.
As we continue this year, let’s make our motto visible in everything we do, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to ‘care for and respect everyone’.
As we look towards the upcoming school holiday break, I would like to thank our students, staff and families for their ongoing commitment and support throughout what has been a busy and productive term. It has been wonderful to see the growth, achievements and enthusiasm displayed by our students across all areas of school life.
We wish all our CtK families a safe, restful and enjoyable holiday period and look forward to welcoming everyone back refreshed and ready for another exciting term of learning. If you are travelling, please be safe and look after each other!
Term 3 resumes for all students on Tuesday 21 July. Monday 20 July is a Pupil Free Day for our students. Staff will be involved in Professional Development, facilitated by CEWA.
P&F Disco
Our P&F Disco on Friday night was a success! Our students had an absolute ball, and it was wonderful to see so many smiling faces enjoying the music, dancing and spending time together.
A huge thank you to our dedicated P&F team for their hard work and commitment in making the evening such a memorable event. A great deal of planning, organisation and effort went into ensuring the disco ran smoothly, and we are incredibly grateful to these wonderful volunteers who generously give their time for the benefit of our children and school community.
Speak Up Final
Our Speak Up Final was held yesterday, and it was an outstanding showcase of student talent. The students spoke with confidence, poise and exceptional skill, delivering speeches of an impressively high standard. The judges were extremely complimentary of both the quality of the presentations and the professionalism displayed by all participants.
Thank you to our Year 3-6 teachers for the time, effort, and encouragement you invested in preparing your students. Your guidance helped build their confidence and enabled them to present so effectively in front of a large audience.
A special thank you to Mrs Danae Doecke for coordinating the event. The afternoon ran seamlessly and professionally, reflecting the considerable work undertaken behind the scenes to ensure its success.
I was incredibly proud of our students and grateful for the dedication shown by everyone involved in making the event such a memorable occasion.
Guest judge Mrs Julie Scali shared the following reflection:
“It was such a privilege to be a guest judge for the Christ the King, Beaconsfield Speak Up Awards and to witness the impact of SRSD writing instruction transformed into inspiring, moving, humorous, and at times almost tear-jerking persuasive and informative speeches. Topics ranged from Women’s Empowerment, Rottnest Island, ADHD, Blobfish, and Shakespeare. When students can transform their personal opinions into well-structured, high-quality persuasive texts, they develop the important life skill of advocating for themselves and others. Likewise, when they can effectively write and present informative pieces, they gain the ability to communicate and explain factual content with clarity and confidence. The value of these skills cannot be underestimated.”
We extend our sincere thanks to Mrs Julie Scali from Literacy Impact Educational Services and Mr Nick Smith from CEWA, for serving as our judges. It was a very special afternoon and we congratulate all students who participated, as well as our prize winners, on their outstanding achievements. Well done!
