Dear Parents, Caregivers and Community Members,
We thank you Lord, for this term.
For the challenges, the successes, and the mistakes from which we have learnt.
Be with us as we spend our time with family and friends.
Give us strength and courage to do what is right: to be witnesses of our faith.
Help us to be a practical Christians these holidays, to appreciate what others do for us, to give time and effort to help others.
To be peacemakers in our family.
Keep us safe in our activities; give us good rest and good fun.
Bring us back refreshed and ready for a new term.
We thank you for our classmates, teachers, parents,
And a community that cares for us.
May we always be conscious of you in our lives.
Amen
Young children are filled with wonder about the world and are open to discovering the Mystery of God through hands-on play, especially in the natural environment that God provided. Drawing from this gift of imagination can nurture this openness to God. Everything in nature speaks to us of God’s love.
The SUN is God warming us.
The BREEZE is God caressing us.
The GROUND on which you stand is God
holding you in his protecting hands.
The AIR we breathe is God sustaining our life.
The WATER we drink is God quenching our thirst.
The FRUIT we eat is God feeding us.
Just spending time in God’s natural creation can do wonders for a weary soul.
Psalm 23:2-3
Open Night – Reporting and Assessment
What a wonderful evening Open Night was! We were greeted with a beautiful clear sky, which made the event even more special. I hope you all had the opportunity to celebrate your children’s learning and witness the dedication and hard work of our CtK staff. A heartfelt thank you to all of our staff for everything you do every day—you are truly amazing!
A huge thank you to all the families who attended; the sense of community spirit was palpable. The Lego creations were absolutely outstanding once again! The awesome team of helpers for various roles such as planning, setup, registrations and running on the night included; Monty Davis, Meg Scanlan, Ellie Chia, Torsten Reiners, Tom Readyhough and Ali Readyhough. Special thanks to Mel and Amanda who helped with vote counting afterwards. They were super! Congratulations and thank you!
We always welcome your feedback, so please feel free to email your child’s class teacher or me directly. Lastly, I want to express my gratitude to the P&F for organising the sausage sizzle and for the excellent cooking—it’s great to see funds raised for our P&F!
Thank you all for making Open Night such a memorable occasion!
Athletics Carnival
I would like to take a moment to congratulate and thank Mrs. McLinden for her hard work and dedication in ensuring that both days were a tremendous success. The children who participated expressed their gratitude for all her careful planning and organisation.
Thank you to our fantastic staff for being so brilliant and supportive throughout both days. Your commitment made a significant difference.
A heartfelt thank you to all the parents for being there to support your child and all the competitors. We truly value your continued contributions to our school community.
Congratulations to all the children for participating with enthusiasm and sportsmanship. Congratulations to McTavish House for winning this year’s Athletics Carnival, well done!
Year 6 Camp
Congratulations to the Year 6 children and teachers for making the Year 6 camp such a memorable one. The children were great, they participated in the abseiling, rock climbing, flying fox, billy cart making, commando course, animal ecology, archery and night walk. A very special congratulations and thank you to Miss Kezic and Mrs Barrett who led the camp with aplomb. So much hard work goes into organising camp plus the 24-hour supervision which is a huge responsibility. Brilliant work, planning and commitment, ladies! Thank you also, Miss Figliomeni (Yr6 Prac Student), Miss Darch, Mr Martelli and Mr Geaney for being such great support on camp too.
Happy Holidays
As this is our last newsletter for the term, I wish to thank everyone in our wonderful community for their support of their children, and one another. I thank you all for your precious children whom I thoroughly enjoy sharing in their learning journey. I thank our amazing teachers and supportive community for their combined efforts in helping our children grow towards God’s vision for them. Have a wonderful holiday; relax, enjoy, stay safe and see you ready for a fantastic, hectic, wild, and amazing Term Four!
Term Four commences for students on Tuesday, 14 October.
There are ‘great things’ happening in our school due to the efforts of so many people; seek to be one of those people in the coming week!
Keep smiling as it takes all of us.
