Welcome Back to Term 4!
Welcome back to the start of Term 4! We hope everyone enjoyed a restful and refreshing break with family and friends. It’s wonderful to see our students return with great enthusiasm, ready for an exciting and busy term ahead!
There’s much to look forward to over the coming weeks, from special events and excursions to celebrations of learning and end of year activities. We encourage families to stay up to date with important dates, via the school calendar and Seesaw notices.
As we start this new term, we extend our thanks to all parents and families for your continued support and involvement in your child’s education. Your partnership plays a vital role in fostering a nurturing environment where our students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Celebrating Achievements and Progress
This term, we celebrate not only outstanding achievements but also the everyday progress our students make. Every step forward, no matter how small, is a meaningful part of their learning journey. We encourage families to recognise and celebrate these milestones at home, nurturing a growth mindset that inspires continued success.
Term Planning
As mentioned above, this term will be filled with engaging learning experiences and community events. Staff have planned a range of exciting activities, including excursions and incursions, sporting carnivals, prayer services, assemblies, Leadership day and camp overnight stay, the Spelling Bee Competition, Grandparents’ Morning, Remembrance Day Service, Christ the King Day, and our very much loved Carols Evening!
Academic communication will include term overviews on Seesaw, progress conversations for throughout the term and formal reports at the end of term. We also look forward to celebrating our Year 6 students, who will graduate from primary school at the end of the term!

Please note that Term 4 concludes on: Friday 12 December, 2025.
A reminder that Friday 14 November, 2025 (Week 5) is a Pupil Free Day for all students.
Student Absences & Late Arrivals
To ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students, please take note of the following procedures:
- Reporting Absences
All student absences must be reported to the school office by 9am via one of the official channels:

While informing the classroom teacher is appreciated, it does not meet the official attendance requirements.
- Late Arrivals – After 8.40am
If your child arrives after 8.40am, please sign them in at the front office. This ensures:
- Accurate attendance records
- Their safety in case of emergencies

Student Uniform Vigilance
Please ensure all uniform items are clearly labelled to assist with their return if misplaced. We have noticed several students without school hats, please check your child has theirs, as school hats are required during recess and lunch. New hats can be purchased online from Tudor School Uniforms https://tudorschooluniforms.com.au
Before & After School Play Guidelines
For safety reasons, students are not permitted to use playground equipment before or after school. Children must be supervised by parents during these times, and we kindly ask that families exit the school grounds promptly after pick up. Please remember to share these guidelines with anyone who collects your child on your behalf.
As we embark on another term, I would like to express my gratitude to our dedicated staff for their ongoing commitment to nurturing and supporting our students. Their passion for creating a positive and engaging learning environment is inspiring.
Blessing of the Fleet Procession
The Blessing of the Fleet will take place on Sunday 26 October, leaving from St Patrick’s Church in Fremantle. Children are invited to participate in the procession by wearing traditional costumes or, if they made their First Holy Communion this year, wearing their Communion outfits again. Last year, some students proudly represented our school by wearing their uniform and carrying the school flag, and we would love to see this continue. CtK Lego Competition
A huge thank you to Monty and our wonderful team of parent volunteers for organising this year’s Lego Competition and the Winners Assembly on Wednesday afternoon. The students absolutely loved it, and it was a great success! Congratulations to all our winners and thank you to everyone who participated and gave it a go!

A Message from our School Nurse – Ms Andrea Mangan
Welcome back for Term 4 Everyone 😊
This term, I’d love to share some insights from a recent WA School Nurse Training Day I attended. Each fortnight, I’ll touch on the topics that we covered — starting with a growing concern across Australia known as “School Can’t” (also called school refusal or emotionally-based school avoidance).
Many children who struggle to attend school aren’t being defiant, they’re experiencing significant emotional distress. Research shows that 1–5% of students experience school refusal at some stage, and around 75% of those involved with School Can’t Australia have a disability or are seeking assessment for neurodivergence. Anxiety, sensory overload, and fear of failure are some of the most common triggers.
It’s important we understand that school refusal isn’t truancy, it’s a child communicating that something about the school environment feels overwhelming.
As the school nurse, I’m not just here for physical health needs. My role follows a holistic wellbeing model, meaning I’m here to support students’ emotional, mental, and social health too. If your child is struggling to come to school, please know you’re not alone. Alongside teachers, I can help plan and implement individualised supports, something I’ve already done successfully for many children.

We are on the home stretch with only 9 weeks left of 2025!
There will be only 1 P&F Meeting this term, as the other will be the ACM. Please save the dates below in your calendar and we hope to see you there.

MUSICAL BINGO – There are only a couple of tables left that are still up for grabs for the upcoming Musical Bingo Night being held on Saturday 8th November at South Freo Footy Club! There are also a few spots available at the Open table if you want to come along and bring a friend. All of the tickets are open to family and friends to purchase if they would like to come and have a super fun night!
We have put together a few yummy catering options from Bennys Bar & Cafe that you can pre-purchase and have delivered to your table on the night. They are available to pre-order through our P&F Hub until Sunday 26th October. No orders will be taken after this date. There will be an AMAZING RAFFLE happening with so many incredible prizes up for grabs. If you pre-purchase your raffle tickets on the P&F hub, we will have them ready for you on you on your table on the night so you wont have to line up for tickets. It will be a night to remember that will be packed full of laughs, drinks and your favourite 80’s/90’s tunes. We cant wait to see you there in your costumes!
