Welcome to Week 10!
As the term comes to a close, we reflect on what has been a busy and highly productive time. There has been a great deal of learning, teaching and many enriching experiences for our students.
Throughout the term, we have celebrated significant events including the Sacraments of First Holy Communion and Confirmation, our school Cross Country, a variety of incursions and excursions, Running Club, class assemblies and the Speak Up Awards, to name just a few.
Looking ahead, Term 3 promises to be just as engaging, with special events such as our Book Week Parade and Open Night among the highlights.
We wish all families a safe, happy and well-deserved holiday. The break provides a valuable opportunity to rest, recharge and spend time together.
Semester 1 Reports for PP – Year 6 students
Mid-Year Reports for students in Pre-Primary to Year 6 will be released at the end of the school day on Thursday 2 July, 2026 via SEQTA Engage.
At Christ the King School, we continue to implement the revised WA Curriculum and report student progress in line with School Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCSA) guidelines. These reports provide an accurate and objective assessment of each student’s progress and achievement against the Western Australian Achievement Standards.
In line with CEWA’s updated reporting practices, each learning area (e.g. English) is now reported with an overall grade rather than separate grades for individual strands (e.g. reading, writing, speaking and listening). This reflects the interconnected nature of skills within each learning area. Teachers make a holistic, professional judgement using a range of formal and informal assessment evidence, aligned with SCSA achievement standards and assessment pointers. Please note that mid-year reports reflect student achievement based on the curriculum taught to this point in the year. Some students working on an Individual Education Plan will receive a report aligned to their modified learning program.
To ensure you can access your child’s report without delay, we kindly ask that you check your login details now, before reports are released in Week 11.
All new families in Years 1-6, along with all Pre-Primary families, should now have received a welcome email with instructions to set up their SEQTA Engage account. Emails have been sent to both parents/carers; however, if you prefer to use a single shared login, there is no need to activate the second account.
If you cannot find the welcome email in your Inbox, please check your Junk or Spam folders, as bulk emails can occasionally be filtered there. If you require assistance, please contact the school office at admin@ctk.wa.edu.au
If you have not logged into SEQTA recently, particularly since last year’s reports were released, we strongly recommend logging in as soon as possible. Accounts that have not been accessed for some time may require a password reset or reprovisioning.
When accessing SEQTA Engage, please avoid using a saved bookmark, as cached data can sometimes affect login access. Instead, access SEQTA via a new link through the SEQTA ENGAGE quick link on the school website or directly via:
https://ctk.engage.cewa.edu.au
We encourage all families to complete this check over the next few days to ensure reports can be accessed smoothly when released. Please do not leave this until the last minute.
Please also note that Year 6 parents/carers should download, print, and save copies of reports this year, as students will transition out of the Primary SEQTA system at the end of the school year.
Uniforms
The school holidays are an ideal time to refresh school uniforms and shoes. As we reach the midpoint of the school year, this is a great opportunity to ensure that uniforms are fitting well and in good condition, and that shoes are clean and polished in preparation for the start of Term 3.
The break is also a helpful time for students to have a fresh and appropriate haircut, ready for a positive and organised return to school.

Telethon Fundraiser
On Wednesday, 1st July, CtK will be holding our annual Telethon fundraiser. Students are invited to wear free dress for a gold coin donation.
During recess and lunch, there will be a range of fun activities for students to enjoy, including the chance to purchase delicious baked goods, browse preloved books and take part in a “guess the number of lollies in the jar” competition.
These are just a few of the exciting activities planned for the day, and we look forward to a wonderful community event in support of a great cause.
Unwell students
We kindly ask that unwell students are kept at home. If a child becomes unwell during the school day or presents symptoms of illness, our staff and school nurse will contact parents to arrange for them to go home. Sending sick children to school can affect the health and wellbeing of other students, staff, and their families. We greatly appreciate your understanding and support in helping us maintain a healthy school environment. For further guidance on how long children should stay home when sick, please refer to the recommendations on the WA Health website: https://www.health.wa.gov.au

Winter Wonderland Disco Success
What an incredible evening we had at our Winter Wonderland School Disco!
The disco is always one of the highlights of the school year, and it was wonderful to see so many students enjoying a night filled with music, dancing, games and plenty of fun with their friends. The excitement and energy throughout the evening were a wonderful reminder of what makes our school community so special.
Events like these are about much more than just a fun night out. They provide opportunities for our children to build friendships, create lasting memories and strengthen the sense of belonging that makes our school such a welcoming community.
On behalf of the P&F, I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our incredible volunteers, staff and supporters who helped make the evening possible. From planning and decorating, to serving food, supervising activities and packing up at the end of the night, your generosity and willingness to help is greatly appreciated. These events simply could not happen without you.
Thank you also to all the families who attended and supported the event. Your involvement helps create the vibrant community spirit that we are so fortunate to enjoy.
